From humble beginnings selling styling accessories for photo shoots, to a nationwide brand known for beautiful artisan styled homewares, Oh Curio inspires the inner stylist in us all.
FROM THE BEGINNING
In November 2018, our founder - previously a Brand Photographer & Stylist Lyndsey James, opened an online curiosity cupboard of her favourite styling accessories to fellow photographers, product designers and makers.
With a keen eye for finding the perfect additions to enhance a scene/room - whether tableware for food photography, a pretty pair of scissors for floristry shots or the perfect throw/cushion to make a sofa scene look more cosy in Winter, the Oh Curio collection (and our team) grew.
In Autumn 2019 we launched our popular monthly Curiosity Box subscription boxes, then a few months later in January 2020 we opened our beautiful Oh Curio barn store on the border of Rutland and Northamptonshire.
With the addition of books, cards, gift wrap and lighting, Oh Curio is now a treasure trove of home styling and photo styling accessories in store and online, and much bigger than the little pink curiosity cupboard which inspired the brand.
Nestled in the heart of the Welland Valley in the pretty yellow stone village of Harringworth, our beautiful old barns were once farming barns and stables and are now home to our offices, online brands, Oh Curio store and workshop space.
In our little rural corner of the world, you'll find a creative hive of activity at the barns throughout the year. A beautiful space to shop our collection of styling accessories, homewares & gifts, an exciting calendar of craft workshops to attend, and the added bonus of an espresso machine so that you can enjoy our increasingly popular Oh Curio takeaway coffee to go.
The rest of our courtyard is home to our offices for our online brands, we are very lucky to enjoy such a picturesque place to work and welcome you to share our outdoors benches to rest your legs or to enjoy a coffee before you continue on your adventures.
THE OLD CART SHED
During the week the Old Cart Shed barn works hard as our team's creative meeting space - it's where exciting plans are hatched and new product collections are planned. It is a lovely rustic little space to work from and too good not to share, so at the weekend we open it up to visiting artists to host creative workshops and pop up shops.
